About the Role
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be at the forefront of our defense strategies. You will be responsible for monitoring our security systems, responding to incidents, conducting vulnerability assessments, and implementing robust security measures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to our security posture and grow your career in a rapidly expanding field.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for security alerts and incidents.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify potential weaknesses in our infrastructure and applications.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technological advancements.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and data loss prevention (DLP) systems.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees to foster a strong security culture.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Requirements
- Educational Qualification: B.Tech/BE in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; MCA; or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, network security, or incident response.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ELK Stack).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys).
- Knowledge of common attack vectors and mitigation techniques.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) are a plus.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CySA+, or CISSP are highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
